My Statement of Belief

I seek to avoid needless controversy on minor points of doctrine. However, certain truths are non-negotiable. Briefly, they are as follows:

  1. I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, One God, holy, eternal ever-existant and undivided.

  2. I believe in a literal Heaven and Hell; in the eternal reward of the believer and the eternal judgement of the unbeliever.

  3. I believe that upon death the believer's spirit goes to be with the Lord and it will subsequently receive a glorious resurrection body at His Coming.

  4. I believe in the virgin birth, the sinless life, the literal death and bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ; the atoning work of the Cross, the once-for-all perfect sacrifice of Jesus on behalf of mankind; justification by faith alone and demonstrated by works of righteousness by means of the in-filling of the Holy Spirit.

  5. I believe in a literal satan, his demonic forces and hosts, and that he is at present the god of this world, under the permit of the Eternal Father.

  6. I believe in the literal, personal re-appearance and coming again of Jesus Christ.

  7. I believe in the present-day work of the Holy Spirit in the Church and that His gifts, ministries and fruit are active in all generations until the Second Coming.

  8. I believe the Church is the Body of Christ composed of born-again believers; I believe in the observance of water baptism by immersion for adult believers only, and the Lord's Supper.

  9. I believe the Bible is the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God, relevant to all ages, having authority for all people at all times.

  10. I believe in the future fulfillment of every unfulfilled biblical prophecy relating to Israel, the Church and the World; and in the catching away of belivers, and in the coming global kingdom of antichrist.

  11. I believe in the Judgement of God upon wickedness and disobedience, and in the binding of satan as a future event to be accomplished by the sovereign work of God.

  12. I believe in the pre-millennial resurrection of the righteous to reign with Christ a thousand years, and after that time, the resurrection of all to judgement before the Throne of God.

  13. I believe that God will create a perfect new Heavens and Earth.
